I am a clinical assistant professor (and alumna) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). I was an adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Science at Boise State University. I received my Ph.D. in ECE at UIC, working under the supervision of Dr. Natasha Devroye and Dr. Wenjing Rao.
My research focuses on physically unclonable functions (PUF) and deep-learned error-correcting codes.
I obtained my master's degree from UIC in May 2018 and my bachelor's degree from Northeastern University, China, in June 2017.

12/2025: As UIC alumna, I started my first full-time position as a clinical assistant professor in the department of ECE at UIC! I will be teaching ECE115 and ECE265 in spring 2026!

08/2025: I started my first job as an adjunct professor in the Computer Science department at Boise State University. I will be teaching CS 117 (C++ for Engineers) and CS 253 (Software Development in C) this fall.
07/21/2025: My PhD dissertation was accepted.
05/21/2025: I successfully passed my PhD defense!
05/2025: I received my first teaching evaluation.

02/2025: One paper on salvaging APUF was accepted to IEEE VLSI Test Symposium (VTS). I will present my paper in-person.
01/2025: I serves as an instructor for ECE 265 Introduction to Logic Design course. I have 71 students!
08/2024: I became a teaching assistant for the Computer Organization course.
05/2023: I received the CoE Exceptional Research Promise Award!
01/2023: I became a teaching assistant for the Hardware Description Language Based System Design course.
11/2022: One paper on APUF production line faults was accepted to DATE.
05/2022: I successfully defended my PhD proposal!
04/2022: One paper on interpreting deep-learned codes got accepted to ISIT.
11/2021: One paper on APUF instance faults got accepted to DATE.
06/2021: Into the Explainable AI (XAI) world, collaborates with Dr. Miloš Žefran and Dr. György Turán.
05/2020: I passed the PhD Qualifying Exam in two topic areas: telecommunications and signal processing!
11/2019: Into the Physically Unclonable Function (PUF) world - collaborates with Dr. Wenjing Rao.
07/2018: I started working on the binary multiplying channel (BMC) rate region with Dr. Natasha Devroye.
